Austin-area storms, by the record

From November 2016 through June 2026, NOAA's Storm Events Database logged 933 county-level storm events in Travis, Williamson, Hays, Bastrop and Caldwell counties — including 497 hail reports and 161 flash floods. FEMA declared 10 disasters covering at least one of these counties in the same window.

Storm events by month

A count of events NOAA recorded against a county — one hailstorm crossing two counties counts twice. Events filed against forecast zones (heat, drought, winter storms) are not included, and the newest months are still being filled in.
