Quick answer: Seal is now the headliner at the Andy Roddick Foundation's annual gala at ACL Live in Austin, Texas, on Monday, Nov. 9. ACL Live's event page says Art Garfunkel "will no longer perform" because of illness. AXS lists doors at 7:30 p.m. and the show at 9 p.m., with sets possibly condensed because it's a benefit. There is no venue garage, and the venue says Monday street meters run until 6 p.m. Everything here comes from the venue, the foundation and AXS, read Sunday, Nov. 8.

What changed, and who is playing now?
On Aug. 27 the Andy Roddick Foundation announced that Art Garfunkel would perform at its 2026 gala on Monday, Nov. 9, at ACL Live at The Moody Theater. The foundation's press release said tickets went on sale that morning.
That is no longer the show. ACL Live's event page now reads: "Due to illness, Art Garfunkel will no longer perform at the Andy Roddick Foundation Gala on Monday, November 9th. The performer will now be renowned musical artist Seal."
The page carries a statement from Andy Roddick, the retired tennis player who founded the foundation. He wrote that he was "panicked yesterday when we didn't have a gala artist," and that Seal confirmed within two hours of their conversation after moving his "entire work life around to help." Roddick wished Garfunkel well. We have no information about Garfunkel's condition beyond the venue's one-line reason, and we are not adding any.
Seal's catalog needs little explaining: the venue and the foundation both list "Crazy," "Kiss From a Rose" and "Love's Divine," four Grammy Awards and three Brit Awards. Whether he plays all of them is not something anyone has said, and AXS warns that "artist sets may be condensed" because this is a fundraiser.
Is this a normal concert, or a gala?
Both, and the difference matters for what you expect.
The foundation's own page describes the full evening as a red-carpet cocktail reception at 5:30 p.m., doors to the theater at 6:40, dinner, program and a live auction at 7:00, Seal at 9:00, and a VIP after party at 11:00. Attire is listed as "Austin Chic." The gala supports the foundation's afterschool and summer learning programs for children, and sponsorships run through the foundation's Givebutter page.
The concert is sold separately. The foundation's gala page links "Concert Tickets" to AXS, and the AXS listing shows doors at 7:30 p.m., a 9 p.m. start and all ages. ACL Live's page said "On Sale Now" when I read it Sunday afternoon.
What I could not confirm: ticket prices (AXS shows them only after you pick seats), whether the floor is general admission or seated, whether concert-only ticket holders see any of the earlier program, and how long Seal will play. Treat 9 p.m. as the start of the music, not the end.
I bought a Garfunkel ticket. What now?
This is the question I would be asking, and I did not find a published answer. ACL Live's FAQ says all purchases "are non-refundable and cannot be canceled," but that is the standing policy, and I found no statement either way about the performer change. The ACL Live page and the foundation's page do not mention refunds.
If you hold a Garfunkel ticket, look in your AXS account first, then email info@acllive.com, the contact the venue lists for ticket questions. Don't assume either outcome until someone answers in writing.
How do you get into ACL Live on a Monday night?
The venue is at 310 W. Willie Nelson Blvd., Austin, TX 78701. Its "Know Before You Go" page sets the rules that will actually slow you down:
- Tickets are mobile. Use the AXS app. Paper tickets are not accepted at the door.
- Arrive at least 30 minutes before showtime. Every guest gets a wand and bag check, and re-entry means another check.
- Bags: no backpacks or bags over 11 by 17 inches. Diaper and medical bags are allowed.
- Cashless inside. Bars, concessions and merch take cards and mobile pay only. Cash tips are fine.
- ID is not needed to enter, but you need it to buy alcohol or pick up Will Call.
- Box office opens one hour before doors, on 2nd Street between Lavaca and Guadalupe, next to the ACL Live store.
ACL Live at The Moody Theater
See AXSThe venue's general FAQ says most shows end between 11 p.m. and midnight. This one is a benefit with possibly shortened sets, so plan on the later end for a ride home and don't count on an early out.
Where do you park, and do the meters run?
ACL Live says it has no parking garage of its own. It points to the City of Austin's paid parking page for nearby garages and lots, offers limited valet at the W Hotel next door on a first-come basis, and recommends booking ahead through SpotHero.
The detail that helps on Monday: the venue's page lists metered street parking hours as Monday and Tuesday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Wednesday through Friday 8 a.m. to midnight, and Saturday 11 a.m. to midnight. Rates start at $2 an hour. By that schedule, a Monday doors time of 7:30 p.m. lands after the meters stop. I have not walked the blocks around the theater, so read the posted sign at the curb before you walk away from the car. Free after 6 does not mean a space will be there: I have not checked how full the blocks get on a gala night.

The venue's own advice is blunt: rideshare "is highly recommended." Lyft is the venue's listed official rideshare sponsor, with a promo code on the parking page. We did not get drive times: no mapping service was available to this desk for this edition, and I have not made the drive.
What will the weather do?
The National Weather Service forecast for Austin, pulled Sunday afternoon, has Monday daytime at a 70% chance of light rain and a high near 66. The hourly numbers for Monday evening drop to about 24% at 6, 8 and 10 p.m., with temperatures falling from about 64 to 60. That is the NWS point forecast, and it will move. Bring a jacket and an umbrella.
Rain tonight is more likely than Monday night per the NWS (about 59% around 6 and 8 p.m. Sunday). If the sidewalks are wet Monday, give yourself the extra time anyway.
Later this week at the same venue: Alton Brown, Wednesday
The same room hosts An Evening of Alton Brown on Wednesday, Nov. 11: doors 6:30 p.m., show 7:30 p.m., all ages, per AXS. Brown's tour site describes the show as "twists on his greatest hits" with "new demonstrations, music, and slightly scaled-down mayhem."
Two practical notes from the listings. First, AXS carries a shellfish warning: the show uses shellfish, and guests with an allergy are told not to eat the food or enter the front-row area. Second, the meter schedule flips. Wednesday meters run 8 a.m. to midnight per the venue, so the free-after-6 logic that may help Monday does not apply Wednesday.

What locals should know
- Check the AXS listing before you buy, not a resale site. The foundation links its official concert tickets there.
- If you are going for Seal and not the gala, the music is the 9 p.m. block. Doors at 7:30 is not showtime.
- It is a Monday night downtown, and the venue itself says to give yourself extra time. Park a few blocks out and walk, or take a ride.
- We wrote up an earlier ACL Live night out on Halloween weekend, and more nights out are on our things to do page.
FAQ
Who is performing at the Andy Roddick Foundation Gala? Seal. ACL Live says Art Garfunkel withdrew because of illness and Seal is performing in his place on Monday, Nov. 9, 2026.
What time does the Seal show start? AXS lists doors at 7:30 p.m. and the show at 9 p.m. The foundation's own schedule also puts Seal's performance at 9 p.m.
Can I buy a ticket to just the concert? The foundation links "Concert Tickets" to AXS, and the listing said it was on sale Sunday afternoon. Prices were not visible without choosing seats.
Is parking free on Monday night? ACL Live lists Monday meters as 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., so street meters should not be running at 7:30 p.m. Read the posted signs, and note the venue has no garage of its own.
What if I bought a Garfunkel ticket? I found no published refund statement for the swap. ACL Live's general policy is non-refundable, so ask AXS or info@acllive.com before you assume anything.
