According to ATX Things' own weather check this afternoon, Austin hit 98.1°F with a 101.2°F heat index around 4 p.m. By doors at 6:30, the forecast has it easing to roughly 97°F; by the time Fike likely takes the stage closer to 8, it should be dropping through the low 90s, and down near 88°F by 9 p.m.

Better than you'd think for a downtown venue, according to people who've actually done it. One recent visitor described parking for free in the Capitol's own visitor garage and walking down through the park to the entrance; another paid for a spot at the nearby Capitol Tower garage, about half a mile off, and found the walk back to their car easy once the show let out.
